3. Limit Unforced Errors

Similar to last week’s edition of “3 keys”, our third key is much the same. Michigan football cannot continue to shoot itself in the foot and commit unforced errors.

The stat line is very deceiving. Only one fumble was lost and one interception was thrown. In reality, Michigan put the ball on the ground two more times and should’ve lost both of those fumbles as well.

Not getting defensive substitutions on the field quick enough, false starts, defensive holding, all of these add up.

It’s about time that trend gets stopped or even better, don’t let it become a trend.

Indiana’s hope and prayer to win a game that they are 14 point road underdogs in is that Michigan does the same bad things they’ve been doing. Their chances are contingent on the Wolverines shooting themselves in the foot continually as we saw last week.
