Andrel Anthony needs to play more

It was a brutal loss for Michigan football and its fans to suffer through, but there were some bright spots and one of them was the play of Andrel Anthony.

The freshman from East Lansing caught six passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns, including a 93-yard reception in the first quarter to open the scoring.

Anthony caught another touchdown pass, this time from J.J. McCarthy in the second quarter and it made you wonder, where has he been?

The coaching staff has talked about him making a big play per day in practice and he got an end-around last week against Northwestern, in which he flashed his speed. But this breakout performance wasn’t something I saw coming.

I knew he was going to make a big play at some point this season, but two touchdowns and 155 yards, that was spectacular. Now, keep feeding him the ball because he looks like he deserves to be wearing that No. 1.
