2. The season is not in shambles by any means

One loss to a top-10 team on the road in a back and forth ballgame doesn’t end Michigan’s chances on the year just yet. The Wolverines are still in the race for a Big Ten title berth as long as they win out and get some help, and that is not out of the question with Michigan State and Ohio State yet to collide in November in Columbus.

That makes this an obvious overreaction.

Michigan football still has to go to Penn State, which should be a rough and tumble affair in Happy Valley.

If Michigan can come away victorious on the road, which is asking a lot, then the annual collision with Ohio State could potentially be for all the marbles, assuming Michigan gets past Indiana and Maryland as well.

Michigan State also has a meeting at Purdue coming up, which could be a trap game. Purdue went into Iowa and beat the No. 2 team in the country, so it would be wise to not count out the Boilermakers from doing it again.

First things first though, Michigan has to take care of itself and let the pieces of the puzzle fall as they may.
