Michigan has big-time talent

If you look at the 247 sports team talent rankings over the past few seasons, Michigan is consistently among the most talented teams, even if it didn’t play like it.

But this year, the Wolverines are reflecting their talent. Hutchinson is going to be a top-10 pick and looks like it every week. Daxton Hill is playing like a first-rounder and that doesn’t even include guys like Josh Ross, Blake Corum, Haskins, and others.

Brad Hawkins is another senior that has really played well this season. He made two huge plays against Nebraska and he’s someone who will likely be playing on Sundays.

There is NFL talent all over this roster and there is a lot of promising youngsters too and not just McCarthy. Junior Colson has future star written all over him and he’s already playing a lot. Plus there’s Donovan Edwards and Andrel Anthony on the offense.

Corum has slowed down a little since the start of Big Ten play, but he was outstanding against Nebraska and it just shows this program has the talent to contend in the Big Ten.

And maybe the gap with some others in the Big Ten isn’t quite as large as we once thought.
