3. Michigan’s defense could become troublesome moving onward.

This will be something to keep an eye on in the showdowns with Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State, but no matter what can be said, the Wolverines got it done when the game was on the line on Saturday and that’s all that counts. They’ll give up their fair share of yardage, but Mike MacDonald has them light years ahead of where they were with Don Brown 365 days ago.

Adrian Martinez posed a real problem that should be worth noting when they face off with mobile quarterbacks down the line. It’s clear that Michigan’s weakness on the defensive side of the ball is the hard-to-stop run option read and rivals will surely use that against them to gain the upper hand when the ball is snapped.

Michigan football forced the game-deciding turnover at the most opportune time in this one though. Then they stopped the Huskers offense on four straight downs to officially come away from Lincoln victorious.
