Michigan Football: 5 Predictions for Wolverines against Nebraska
Michigan bends, won’t break
Outside of the turnover battle, the biggest key in this matchup is going to be who can execute in the red zone. And make no mistake, Nebraska is by far the best offensive team the Wolverines have faced this season and it’s not really close.
Samori Toure is dynamic on the outside and the Huskers have a few talented pass catchers, plus a stable of backs that’s getting confidence.
I do think Michigan football will hold up in the run game, although the new version of the triple-option by Nebraska could cause some problems. It’s going to be about assignment football and keeping the Huskers out of the end zone when they get on Michigan’s side of the field.
Nebraska will set a new season-high in terms of points allowed by Michigan and will get the most yards, but the defense will hold NU to a pair of field goals, which should be just enough, along with a key takeaway or two, to escape with a win — thanks to our guy Jake Moody.
Final Score: Michigan 23, Nebraska 20
