Michigan basketball is expected to get a commitment today from Gregg Glenn and next week, Jett Howard could join the Wolverines too.

For those Michigan basketball fans who have been wondering when Jett Howard would make his decision — we finally have an answer.

There were rumors that Jett and Gregg Glenn, who is set to decide this afternoon, would make a joint announcement. But now, we know that Jett Howard, Juwan’s son and a top-40 recruit in the 247 sports composite rankings, will be announcing Oct. 13th according to his Twitter account.

Howard is listed at 6-foot-7, 220 pounds, and is ranked as the 37th prospect overall according to the composite rankings in 2022 and he’s been trending up since this summer.

Jett might not be listed as a five-star recruit, but he might as well be for the Wolverines. He’s an elite shooter and he will have a starting job waiting for him when and if he arrives in Ann Arbor.

Caleb Houstan, the five-star freshman this season, is expected to be a one-and-done, which could leave a starting spot open for Jett, who is a skilled shooter just like Houstan is.

Howard has taken visits to other programs such as North Carolina State, Georgetown, and Tennessee. But it doesn’t feel like any of them are serious threats to Juwan when it comes to signing his son, although Rick Barnes did make a good impression for the Vols.

Will Gregg Glenn commit?

Michigan basketball should get the commitment from Howard next week but on Tuesday, the Wolverines should be landing a verbal pledge from Glenn, another consensus four-star recruit.

According to the 247 sports rankings, Glenn, who is 6-foot-7 and has the ability to play on the wing or even as a four, is ranked 80th, as well as 109th in the composite.

Glenn was expected to make his announcement on Monday, but due to Instagram going down, it was pushed to Tuesday. Yet, four crystal ball projections came in for the Wolverines, predicting Glenn to wind up in Ann Arbor with a high level of confidence.

Glenn and Howard would give the Wolverines four commitments in 2022 as Dug McDaniel and Tarris Reed are also pledged and U-M will have four guys ranked in the top 109.
