This is one of Jim Harbaugh’s most consequential wins at Michigan.

Say what you want to about Wisconsin being 1-3 now, but winning in Madison is usually an unwinnable task for any foe on any given fall Saturday. Anytime an opponent waltzes into Camp Randall and punishes the Badgers by three scores, than the college football world will most definitely take notice of who did just that.

Jim Harbaugh had his group prepared for what Wisconsin hit them with. He gambled on fourth downs and converted three of five of them. He went for a questionable kick at the end of the first half and it nearly backfired on him, but his trust in his defense paid dividends as his offense answered the bell to vanquish Wisconsin.

Michigan football hits the road again next week in Lincoln to face-off with a struggling Nebraska squad who will be eager to upend the Wolverines under the lights.

In the meantime Harbaugh will try to keep the confidence growing in practice for a sleeping giant that is slowly starting to make some considerable noise in the Big Ten.
