2. Wolverine Defense will Stuff the Badger Offense

It’s been talked about ad nauseam, “the Badger offense is in trouble”. I’ve said it. GBMWolverine.com has said it. Our sister site, BadgerOfHonor.com has said it. And many others have said it.

Well, guess what? It’s true.

For some unknown reason the Badgers have decided to lose their identity on offense. Turning away from their traditional offensive-line powerhouse, to now a team that is having serious issues running the ball.

Graham Mertz, the Wisconsin starting quarterback has amassed a total of 6-INT, 1-TD ratio through his first 3 games. Averaging less than 200yds per game, sub 55% completion percentage, it’s the perfect storm for this new look Michigan football defense to dominate the game.

Attack, attack, attack.

Get after Mertz early. Stuff the limited run game. Do that and you’re going to be putting a less than dynamic offense in a tough spot trying to dig themselves out of a hole that’ll get deeper and deeper each drive.

That’s what you should expect to happen. And that’s why it’s our second reason Michigan wins on Saturday.
