Coaching: A

People are just looking for something to complain about if they aren’t happy with the win over Washington. The Wolverines beat one of the best programs in the Pac-12 by three touchdowns.

Isn’t the objective to win the game? U-M saw a weakness and continued to exploit it over and over again. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Harbaugh said the pass offense is capable and while we need to see proof of that, especially with Ronnie Bell out, the fact that Michigan has a run game to lean on is a blessing.

And a quick note defensively, I love all the substitutions and you can see you guys like Colson, RJ Moten, Jenkins, and others growing. It’s just good to see the best players play.

Special teams: A

Again, the special teams were solid. Brad Robbins boomed some punts and had one downed inside the 20, plus on a big play early in the game, Jake Moody inspired confidence with a 52-yard field goal that made it through the uprights with plenty of room to spare.

The Wolverines also notched a 25-yard kickoff return from Corum and a 20-yard punt return from Caden Kolesar. Giles Jackson, on the other hand, had one return for 11 yards. Trent McDuffie also had one punt return for four yards so the coverage was exceptional.

dark. Next. What we learned vs Washington

It was a strong performance all around but there is plenty of work to do if Michigan wants to be a contender in the Big Ten East.
