The rushing attack was relentless all night long.

Washington said coming into the contest that they were going to stop the Michigan running game and couldn’t have been more wrong than they were on Saturday night.

The two-headed monster of Blake Corum and Hassan Haskins pounded the rock down the throats of the Huskies who were unable to back up their over pregame words.

Corum and Haskins totaled well over 300 yards as a tandem and were clearly the brightest stars in Michigan’s offense on the night.

Michigan didn’t even need to pass because its offensive line was imposing their will on a unit that got weaker as the game prolonged. Captain Andrew Vastardis got nicked up at the end, but that was because he cramped up from working so hard in the trenches in the win.

Corum’s efforts in the gym are turning him into the biggest weapon on Michigan’s offense so far through two victories. The Wolverines will gladly accept that after losing Ronnie Bell and while they wait patiently to see if someone can fill his shoes in the passing game.

Until then Corum will continue to be the featured strength of the entire offense.
