J.J. McCarthy spoiled the masses for a tease of what he possesses.
It was only a matter of time until the freshman took the field at the Big House. Harbaugh didn’t wait long to let his shiny new toy see action in the third quarter of the lopsided outing. They eased him into the offense with a sprinkle of run plays and short dump-off passes to get used to the college atmosphere.
However in the fourth quarter McCarthy made a play that hasn’t been seen at the quarterback position since arguably the days of Denard Robinson. McCarthy scrambled to the sidelines to avoid the pressure only to heave up a prayer with his feet unset that hit Daylen Baldwin in stride for an improbable touchdown pass.
Jim Harbaugh on JJ McCarthy’s long TD pass: “He’s got that creativity in him. I’m not going to coach that out of him. He’s come a long way going through his reads in a short time. I thought he was cool in the pocket. … Any experience he gets is good.”

It set the fanbase into a tizzy in the stands and on social media. It just shows what this kid is capable of doing on any given broken play.
A lot more of the same should come as common nature as time progresses to anyone who has watched this youngster on a football field. Not to sound like a broken record, but he future for him is sky high as he is only getting his feet wet.
