Daylen Baldwin, WR

Michigan football picked up Baldwin from the transfer portal back in June, and he’s expected to make a big impact on the offensive side of the ball.

At 6-foot-2 219 pounds, Baldwin will be a big target on the outside for Cade McNamara.  Jim Harbaugh spoke on Daylen Baldwin back in July at Big Ten Media Days.  Here’s what he had to say:

"“He’s progressing really well, been impressing the other players in the summer cycle. Got a big catch radius.”"

Baldwin is projected by The Michigan Insider to be one of Michigan’s main wide receivers alongside Ronnie Bell, Cornelius Johnson, and Mike Sainristil.

"“Michigan had to feel good about its receiver depth entering fall camp, but saw it largely confirmed in practices. Baldwin arrived to fall camp as advertised and drew plenty of praise from teammates and coaches.”"

Bell and Johnson are undisputed starters and both play on the outside.  Baldwin, however, at 6-foot-2 is too big to play in the slot.  Does the staff move Bell to the slot to make room for Baldwin on the outside? Or does the staff put Sainristil at the slot, and rotate Baldwin in?

We’ll have to wait until Saturday to see what will happen with the wide receiver rotation, but Daylen Baldwin is a player that fans should have their eyes on.  Can the Jackson State transfer and Michigan native, provide a spark to Michigan’s offense?
