While Tatum is one recruit to watch as far as making a commitment this month, another is a defensive tackle out of Florida Tawfiq Thomas.

EJ Holland of Rivals put in a Futurecast projection for Thomas to land with the Wolverines earlier this month and that also came after Mario Eugenio teased some good news for U-M fans.

Eugenio attends the same school and Thomas, who is 6-foot-3, 360 pounds according to 247 sports, also put out a top four over the weekend that included Michigan, Arkansas, South Florida,  and Kansas.

There haven’t been any other expert projections but unless Michigan football takes its foot off the pedal, it feels like the Wolverines are the favorite.

Michigan also made the top list for three-star defensive end Isaiah Hastings and he’s a guy that the staff really likes. Florida, Indiana, Miami, West Virginia, Oregon, Missouri, and Toledo also made the cut but Hastings remains a top priority who can play multiple spots on the D-line.

Hastings and Thomas are two D-line recruts to watch as well as Kennth Grant and of course, Deone Walker. All of them could be committing in the next couple of months and there seems like a decent chance the Wolverines could get them all.
