Harbaugh talks wide receiver depth chart

The wide receiver position has a lot of different pieces. The addition of Daylen Baldwin via the transfer portal over the summer added another exciting 6-foot-3 option on the outside. Baldwin was also offered by Ohio State before choosing Michigan football.

While he’s turned some heads and Harbaugh mentioned him as a contributor on the outside, the head coach feels really good about this group and said there are six legit guys.

Cornelius Johnson and Ronnie Bell, who led the team in receiving a year ago, are obvious starters. The rest seem pretty interchangeable in terms of where they’re at on the depth chart and it sounds like you can expect to see Baldwin, A.J. Henning, Roman Wilson, Mike Sainristil and Andrel Anthony on the field, who Harbaugh also said has stood out in camp.

"“Cornelius Johnson, Ronnie Bell, Mikey Sainristil, Roman Wilson, A.J. Henning, Daylen Baldwin. They’re all playing really well. Is that five? That was six? Andrel Anthony continues to make a play a practice. He’s got a streak, it’s like a Lou Gehrig hitting streak. He would do it in spring ball where — wait for it, it’s gonna happen, he makes it. There’s a play a practice of the big chunk variety. He continues to be really good as well.”"

Bell and Johnson should be really productive this season. But with Baldwin, Henning, Wilson, Anthony, and others, this group has a chance to be one of the best on the team, especially if a guy like Henning has some sort of breakout season.
