Youth development

We touched on this a little bit with McCarthy, the five-star quarterback who is taking part in his first fall camp, however, he’s not the only talented newcomer.

Donovan Edwards, Junior Colson, Louis Hansen, and incoming transfer Daylen Baldwin are all guys that could have an impact right away this season.

Harbaugh has already said that Edwards is going to play this season. He’s going to touch the football against Western Michigan and he should get at least 10 touches just about every game if you ask me. He’s a superstar in the making and Michigan needs stars in the worst way.

Hansen is another underrated recruit. He was ranked as the fifth-best tight end in the 2021 class by Rivals for a reason and I believe he’ll look like a top-100 player. Add in Andrel Anthony, Christian Dixon, and Rayshaun Benny on the defensive line as other names to watch too.

This recruiting class clearly has some potential impact players and it will be fun to gauge their progress early.
