4-star WR Darrius Clemons

Darrius Clemons currently lives in Portland but one time was from Michigan and has some strong connections to the state. He was supposed to visit the Wolverines in June but didn’t end up doing so but Michigan football is still involved and really needs to make a push.

Clemons is 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.37 according to his 247 sports profile. Clemons is ranked 134th overall in the 2022 class, is the top-ranked player in Oregon, and is the No. 21 wide receiver in the class.

He would be a great addition alongside Tyler Morris and Tay’Shawn Trent, plus things are wide open enough that Michigan has a chance to win out, even though Penn State, Oregon, USC, and Auburn are all heavily involved.

4-star RB George Pettaway

Michigan football has CJ Stokes committed in the 2022 class, but the Wolverines have a solid shot at another running back and that’s George Pettaway.

Pettaway is the seventh-ranked running back in the composite rankings and is 102 overall. He’s got elite talent, both as a runner and receiver, although he has work to do as a route runner.

North Carolina has the lone crystal ball projection for Pettaway who is out of Suffolk, Virginia. Alabama, Penn State, and Auburn are in the mix, but Penn State and Bama have multiple running back commitments.

Florida is also in the mix. Pettaway visited Michigan in June, while also making stops to North Carolina, Florida, and Auburn. To me, that’s telling us it’s the top four and if Michigan can win this recruitment, it would be massive.
