Family

While the Michigan family is one of the best parts of being a Michigan alum, the connection runs a bit deeper for Howard and his family.

Howard’s son, Jace, was a part of Michigan’s 2020 recruiting class and will be a sophomore this upcoming season. His younger son Jett Howard is expected to join Michigan’s 2022 class and has received multiple crystal ball predictions to U-M.

Jett is a high-ranking four-star recruit and one of the fastest-rising prospects in the country and even though he’s not committed to the Wolverines, many believe Ann Arbor will be his ultimate destination, which would give Juwan the chance to coach both of his sons.

That’s not something many fathers get a chance to do and the chance to possibly win a national title or reach the Final Four with one or both of his sons has to be appealing.

I’m not writing this to say Howard is never leaving Michigan. However, the chance to coach his sons over the next few years makes it hard to see Howard leaving anytime soon.
