The season is in the books for Michigan baseball and ahead of the NCAA tournament selection on Monday, here are the final bracket projections.

The Michigan baseball team wrapped up its regular season Saturday against Nebraska and in the final three-game set of the season, U-M dropped two of three.

However, Michigan did manage to split a doubleheader with Nebraska, the Big Ten champion, following a 1-0 loss to the Huskers on Friday.

Michigan baseball notched a 2-0 win over the Huskers in the first game of the doubleheader, before turning around and dropping the next game 5-3.

Overall, Michigan has lost four of its last six games heading into the NCAA tournament and it appears that skid could impact their seed in the final NCAA bracket.

Previously, Michigan was being projected as the No. 2 seed in the South Bend Region. There are 16 seeded teams and each of those teams served as the top seed in their particular region.

But after losing consecutive series against Nebraska and Maryland, the Wolverines could be headed to a different region and the final projection from D1baseball.com has U-M listed as a No. 3 seed in the region hosted by the Texas Longhorns.

The selection show is scheduled for 12:00 PM EST on ESPN2.

If Michigan does fall to a No. 3 seed in a region, it would be a sign of how much those late losses hurt the Wolverines. The fact that they would be the No. 3 in the same region as the No. 3 overall seed also shows a pretty big drop.

The Wolverines finished the season 27-17 in all Big Ten games. The conference didn’t allow non-conference games. The last time the College World Series was played, Michigan made an incredible run all the way to the national championship game before finishing as the runner-up.
