Seth Trimble, 4-star PG

When it comes to point guard, Michigan basketball’s board has shifted recently with the offer to four-star point guard Seth Trimble out of Wisconsin.

Prior to that, another four-star guard, Dug McDaniel seemed to be the top target at the board. McDaniel, who is 5-foot-9, is still visiting Michigan in June and although the Wolverines might not be the heavy favorite they once were, that could change if they prioritize him.

At this moment, Trimble feels like the priority. The 6-foot-3 recruit who some see as a combo guard due to his size, shooting ability, and athleticism,  has already started trending to the Wolverines, but that was before North Carolina jumped in with an offer.

Illinois, Indiana, and a bunch of other schools have offered too and even though he’s ranked 77th overall in 2022, he seems poised to take a jump.

Trimble wanted Michigan to offer, but his brother went to North Carolina and the Tar Heels are a very real threat in his recruitment. Seth is set to visit Ann Arbor and Chapel Hill.

And that makes this prediction less certain, but I still give the Wolverines the edge with Trimble.
