PF: Brandon Johns, Moussa Diabate, Caleb Houstan

When Isaiah Livers went down with an injury, it opened the door for Brandon Johns to step in and he played really well during the NCAA Tournament.

Johns, the former Mr. Basketball in the state of Michigan, has never really lived up to his potential. He can do it all on the court. Johns has the ability to score inside, hit from deep, defend, rebound and he’s athletic as all hell.

He’s also gotten pretty tough over the years and it feels like he will get the first shot at starting, although Juwan has always made it known there are no guarantees.

Even if Johns is beaten out by five-star freshman Moussa Diabate, who’s an incredible talent, he’s going to see lots of minutes. There is no Austin Davis on this roster and Johns might be the best option as the backup center, even though it hasn’t worked out great in the past.

Houstan should also see some minutes here, which will be a mismatch and Williams will too, in part because he’s excellent at feeding the ball in high-lows to Hunter Dickinson.
