What’s next?

After the commitment of Morris or any commitment, one of the first thoughts is always, what’s next? In terms of who is the next commitment going to be.

For Michigan football, there’s a chance one could come later this month with four-star defensive back Dillon Tatum.

Michigan and Michigan State are battling it out for his services and while the Spartans are making a strong push, and are the biggest threat, Tatum’s former high school coach is at U-M in Ron Bellamy, and his former teammate in Donovan Edwards, which seems to be helping.

Tatum seems closest to a decision. A lot of other recruits will likely start making decisions after taking visits this summer. One top target who hasn’t set a visit date yet is four-star receiver Kaleb Brown, another player from Illinois.

Brown played with Morris and McCarthy in 7-on-7, plus Gattis has been recruiting him hard for a long time. The Wolverines actually own all three of his crystal ball projections. He’s ranked 62nd overall and as the sixth-ranked receiver at 5-foot-11, 177 pounds out of Chicago.

Four-star wide receiver Darius Clemons, who is a 6-foot-3 burner, is also visiting this June and if either Brown or Clemons joined a class that already includes Morris and in-state wideout Tay’Shawn Trent, another four-star recruit, this class will be loaded.

Next. Predicting defensive starters after spring. dark

It’s needed but it’s also starting to feel like landing three or four receivers with a four-star ranking is possible and visits this summer could make all the difference.
