Power forward: Brandon Johns

Throughout the postseason, Brandon Johns showed what kind of player he can be, he just needs a role and some consistent minutes.

Hopefully, as a senior, everything will finally click for Johns, who has tons of physical talent. He’s big, athletic, and shoots pretty well (35 percent 3-point for his career). His biggest issue has been consistency, along with mental lapses.

His defense has gotten better and while a transfer could be possible, it seems like his new role down the stretch probably opened some eyes about what he could do.

Obviously, Moussa Diabate, the Wolverines other five-star freshman, is going to push for minutes right away. He’s going to be a force but remember, Dickinson didn’t even start right away.

Diabate seems like the sixth man to me next year for Michigan basketball and one who could play the three, four or five. That’s pretty valuable and he will see plenty of minutes. But Johns will return and he will open the season as the starting four.
