Who wins?

When it comes down to it, I do believe that Michigan will win this game. But it’s also going to be difficult and the margin for error isn’t what it seems.

If the Wolverines aren’t as crisp as they were on Sunday, if they shoot poorly or overlook UCLA in any way, they can absolutely lose this game. The Bruins are talented, they are hot right now and they are well-coached. Forget the 11 seed, this team is 14th in Kenpom.

Everything else goes out the window.

But, this Michigan team does have a really good vibe and has been playing better with each game. They have adjusted to playing without Isaiah Livers and this is a game that they should be able to play through Dickinson, which usually creates pretty good shots for everyone else.

To me, the defense is the bigger key. Wagner needs to continue to be special and Brown needs another solid game off the bench. Brown and Eli Brooks need to knock down a few 3-pointers and the Wolverines are going to have to make more than the three they did Sunday.

UCLA has plenty of reasons to make Michigan basketball fans nervous and I think they’ll cover the 7.5 point spread. However, Michigan advances.
