Who wins?

This is a really hard game to pick and honestly, this is a classic second-round matchup. The issue for Michigan is that without Livers, it doesn’t feel like a No. 1 seed. The Wolverines also feel more vulnerable against a talented LSU squad with momentum.

The Tigers are coming into this game with confidence, while Michigan is 3-3 in its last six games and feels like a team searching for the right rotation.

U-M has an identity and that’s feeding the ball to Hunter Dickinson inside. The problem is that Livers was one of the best 3-point shooters and helped provide more space that’s not there now.

Therefore, it’s going to be key for Brown, Wagner, Brooks, Smith and Johns to hit shots from deep. LSU allows 28 attempts per game from beyond the arc. So the shots will be there, especially if the Tigers double down on Dickinson, Michigan just has to hit some.

Wagner also needs to show out like a lottery pick cause slowing down Cameron Thomas will be tough, although Eli Brooks is the guy to do it.

Ultimately, LSU covers the spread, which is plus five, but Michigan survives to live another day in a high-scoring affair. But this is a 50/50 game to me and either result wouldn’t be surprising.
