Never, ever count out the heart of a champion.

Michigan basketball could have easily quit once they got down double digits in half number two, but they didn’t. The Wolverines tenacity that they showed to not give up is a testimonial to what this group is all about. When things weren’t going their way, the maize and blue found a way to even have a prayer at winning it in the final seconds.

Michigan can still claim the outright regular-season Big Ten championship and that is a profound sentiment to behold for them this year.

Now they must regroup and prepare for the sudden death of arguably the most popular postseason in any sport. Juwan Howard and his staff will surely have this crew ready for the emotions that the next few weeks can bring.

No matter how long the remaining schedule lasts, this certainly has been a magical season to remember in Ann Arbor. With the number one class arriving in the fall things are only going to get better for this program and a national championship may be coming to Crisler’s rafters a lot sooner than later.
