1. Shut down Jackson-Davis

We mentioned earlier that Jackson-Davis is leading the Hoosiers in points and rebounds this year. He is the guy that makes the Hoosiers go and the Wolverines need to take that away.

For as good as Jackson-Davis is, he isn’t an outside threat at all. He is very good down-low, but the lack of outside game is an advantage for the Wolverines.

Hunter Dickinson just did a phenomenal job on Luka Garza last game and will need to be up to the task again on Saturday. Dickinson has only gotten better on defense this year and should be able to slow Jackson-Davis.

How well Dickinson and Austin Davis can do on him will go a long way in this game. If the Wolverines can shut him down, the Hoosiers have little chance to win the game. But if they relax and let Jackson-Davis go off down low and control the boards, they will give Indiana a shot at the upset.

The Hoosiers have guys that can get hot from outside, but overall they aren’t a great shooting team so they rely heavily on Jackson-Davis down low. Stop him and you stop the Hoosiers.

The Wolverines have the guys that can slow him down and they need to do just that. If Michigan’s bigs can continue to play the tough defense they have shown lately they should be fine and the Wolverines should come out of Bloomington with the win.
