Who wins?

Iowa comes into this game as a four-point underdog and that makes sense. Iowa, as we have said, is a really good offensive team and that gives them a shot to win just about any game.

But the Wolverines offense is really good too. Both teams depend a lot on their big guys creating open shots for others and Garza is a huge reason Iowa is shooting so well from deep.

So taking away that ability to create those looks is going to be important. Iowa shot 15 3-pointers in each game last year and that’s not a coincidence. Michigan likes to force teams into tough 2-pointers and I don’t see U-M helping down on Garza to allow open 3’s on the perimeter.

If Dickinson can essentially stalemate Garza down low or at least something close to that, the game will come down to the guards and wings, where Michigan is just better.

That and the Wolverines ability to defend at an elite level is a club the Hawkeyes don’t have in their bag and that’s why they will leave Ann Arbor with a loss.
