3. Limit turnovers

This goes hand-in-hand with the last key but one we need to address separately. Early in the year, the Wolverines had some turnover problems, but lately, they have seemed to really reduce the number of times they gave the ball away.

This needs to stay constant for Michigan in this game. They need to protect the ball and make sure every possession counts. While we did say Garza can’t beat you by himself, he could very easily score on every possession. He is that good.

The less Michigan can give up the ball to the Hawkeyes the better. Turning the ball over lets Iowa off the hook in an area they really struggle with. They are an opportunistic team, so the Wolverines need to limit that.

Make them play defense but also keep them from turning you over. Turnovers are going to happen but don’t make it easier on the Hawkeyes.

Next. Grading Michigan's win at Wisconsin. dark

This should be another heavyweight fight, but the Wolverines match up well against them. If they can continue to play as they did against Ohio State and keep Garza’s supporting cast from getting hot they should escape with another big win.
