2. Make them play defense

Obviously, you are always making a team play defense during the game, but the Wolverines need to really work their offense against the Hawkeyes.

According to KenPom, the Hawkeyes are 75th in the country in adjusted defense and some may think they are worse than that. They can score but they just don’t play well on the other side of the ball.

The Wolverines are very good at running their offense and rarely put up forced or quick shots. This will be a key for Michigan in this game. They need to work the ball and force the Hawkeyes to play defense for a long time. The longer they make them play the more likely they are to make a mistake.

Michigan did a great job of finding open shots against the Buckeyes are they are a much better defensive team than the Hawkeyes. If they can continue what they did in Columbus they should be in great shape.

With making them play defense they need to attack them at the same time. Attack Garza with the bigs and try and get him in foul trouble. If Michigan can get their top guys off the floor because of fouls, especially Garza that will be a killer for the Hawkeyes.
