Hunter Dickinson: C+

Considering that Hunter Dickinson is a true freshman, scoring 10 points and grabbing eight rebounds would be a really good night for most players. But Dickinson isn’t most players and his mid-season slump continued. He’s averaging just under nine points a game in his last six, but last night was one of his least impactful efforts. Teams have figured him out a little it seems, but he’s still a really strong player, especially when 10 and eight is just an average night.

Austin Davis: A

The only player who had a better offensive rating in the win for Michigan basketball than Franz Wagner was Austin Davis, who made all three of his shots for six points and seven rebounds. He played 14 minutes, which still feels like a little too much but he was effective Thursday. He had the best defensive rating of anyone on the team.

Brandon Johns: C

It was another up and down performance for Johns who knocked down a 3-pointer and scored five points in the first half but didn’t make another impact on the game. He only got eight minutes but that’s because he’s not always engaged. He’s got tons of talent and could be a valuable piece as a five for Michigan but you just don’t know what you’re going to get.

Terrance Williams: C

Terrance Williams saw the floor for some extended minutes for the first time in a while and even though he didn’t attempt a shot or register a stat, he had a solid performance. The best thing he did was defend and he’s shown he can be counted on in key situations to play defense and do the little things. He needs to shoot more consistently to get more minutes.
