Another double-double?

Over his last five games, Hunter Dickinson has definitely come back to earth on the offensive end as he’s averaged just over eight points a game during that stretch.

But on Sunday at Wisconsin, he showed how he can impact the game, even without scoring a ton as his offensive rebounds were a huge factor in the win. Greg Gard said as much after the game.

If Rutgers leaves Dickinson singled up tonight, he will have a strong game. There are just very few Big Ten defenders who are able to do that. But if they double-team him really hard, that will provide open looks for guys like Isaiah Livers, who is shooting a ridiculous 45.7 percent from deep.

Dickinson has also gone four games without attempting at least 10 shots and I think that will change tonight. Michigan has the size advantage and they need to pound the ball inside and force Rutgers to choose between helping off on Dickinson or letting him attack in the post.

Either way, I’d like to see him get more post touches. The Wolverines have gotten away from that a little and tonight would be a perfect time to get Dickinson double-digit shots again.
