The wait is finally over. Today, in just a few hours, Michigan basketball will be back and while coming out of a lengthy pause at Wisconsin is never ideal, who cares?

It’s just exciting that Michigan basketball will get to resume its season after starting 13-1 overall and 8-1 in the Big Ten, which included a thrashing of Wisconsin in Ann Arbor.

The Wolverines led by 40 at one point in that game, but I highly doubt we’ll see anything like that on Sunday. For one, the Wolverines haven’t played since Jan. 22 and after getting blown out in the first meeting, you can expect the Badgers to be plenty motivated.

At any rate, here are three predictions for the Wolverines and Badgers:

Hunter Dickinson rebounds

Hunter Dickinson got into a bit of a slump before the pause, with three straight games of less than 10 points. But in this rematch against Wisconsin, Dickinson will get back on track.

The Badgers are a solid defensive team but they don’t have anyone good enough to slow down Dickinson one-on-one. Maybe the Badgers pay him tons of attention and throw lots of double teams at him, but I also think there’s a chance Dickinson gets more shots up.

The Wolverines need to get the ball inside. Wisconsin is seventh in the Big Ten in 2-point field goal percentage allowed, and in this matchup, it seems like Wisconsin will shift more focus to slowing Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers.

At some point, Dickinson will get singled up and he will end his streak of three straight games scoring in single digits.
