Michigan Basketball: 3 keys to Wolverines beating Wisconsin
Michigan basketball is playing Wisconsin on Sunday and here are three keys for the Wolverines if they want to beat the Badgers.
The long wait for Michigan basketball‘s return to the court will finally end on Sunday as the Wolverines will head to Wisconsin with their full roster of players.
Wisconsin has been struggling of late and is ranked 21st in the AP poll, compared to Michigan basketball which is third. The Badgers are 9-5 in the Big Ten, while the Wolverines are 8-1. Yet, Michigan hasn’t played for three weeks so it’s hard to know what to expect.
As far as what Michigan basketball will need to do in order to take down the Badgers, here are three keys to victory.
Take care of the basketball
This is a pretty basic key and it applies to most games. But the Wolverines haven’t played for three weeks and have only been practicing this week, so there is going to be a little rust.
It takes a minute to get used to playing against an opponent too and the Wolverines may not be in the best game shape after two weeks of not doing much.
Before the pause, Michigan basketball was still turning the ball over the second-most among Big Ten teams at 13.3 times per game.
And as much as the Badgers have struggled lately shooting the ball, their defense has been sound and giving them some easy buckets on turnovers could be just the thing to get them going.
