Michigan Basketball: Wolverines lead the way in Big Ten uniform rankings
By Adam Childs
Indiana has one of the most iconic uniforms in all of college basketball and it is hard to argue. They have changed very little to the uniform over time and has been one of the few colleges that have not tried to get to fancy with it.
The lettering has stayed nearly identical and the two stripes on the waistline and at the bottom of the shorts have remained largely unchanged. Add in the classic IU logo on both sides and what you get is a solid uniform. There isn’t anything that is wrong with this uniform.
The only thing that some may complain about is that they added five stars to the back of the shorts recently signifying their five national championships. It is almost like they are bragging about them and need to let everyone know.
Some people could see that as being a little conceited but it is not a big part of the uniform and if you didn’t already know about it you may not have even noticed. All in all, it is pretty insignificant and does not make or break the uniform.
While not part of the uniform they get props for still wearing the white and red striped warm-up pants. They are about as iconic as the uniforms themselves. Many teams have tried to copy but IU will always be the one that people think of when they see it. It is a great classic look and one that represents IU.
