Michigan Basketball: 3 bold predictions for Wolverines vs Maryland
Michigan basketball will try to rebound from its first loss of the season tonight against Maryland and here are three bold predictions for the Wolverines.
Michigan basketball will be back at home on Tuesday night after suffering the first loss of the season to Minnesota last Saturday.
Every team is going to have a bad game, but it’s imperative that the Wolverines don’t let it happen again and at 6-1 in the conference, U-M is right where it needs to be in the Big Ten.
Michigan is currently tied with Iowa at 6-1 for the top spot. Maryland is 2-5 but has victories at Wisconsin and Illinois, two other contenders. So this won’t be a walk in the park and here are three bold predictions for the Wolverines against Maryland.
Hunter Dickinson will bounce back
Hunter Dickinson dominated Maryland in the first meeting making 10-of-11 shots. I don’t expect that level of dominance from Dickinson Tuesday but the Terps don’t have anyone who can guard him except Chol Marial who is 7-foot-2 and he doesn’t play a ton.
Minnesota got to Dickinson with double teams and it’s something more teams have been doing but Saturday wasn’t the first time and I think Dickinson will be ready for it. Maryland also doesn’t have a ton of length so it won’t be as effective.
The Wolverines may need to make some perimeter shots to loosen things up, but Dickinson will get back to double figures in scoring and will finish the game with a double-double.
