Predictions
Wolverine Corner: Michigan wins 82-72
The home and away difference for Minnesota does scare me. But without fans, I do think road games are at least a little less intimidating. Michigan is the better team and they are playing better basketball right now.
10 days ago, Michigan blew Minnesota out and I don’t know what could have changed enough over that time for Minnesota to get a win here. I do think Minnesota will be more competitive at the center spot but I feel like the advantage at the wing will lead Michigan to their 4th straight win over a ranked opponent.
Adam Childs: Michigan wins 84-74
Michigan’s ridiculous run has to slow down sometime right? Minnesota is capable of slowing them down but can they? If the Wolverines can clamp down Marcus Carr again they should be in great shape. The good news is they have multiple guys that can do that. Will it be a blowout again? I doubt it but the Wolverines take care of business again.
Jared Dettmer: Michigan wins 71-67
The Wolverines have been absolutely rolling in B1G play thus far. However, I think today they will hit a speed bump — but not a roadblock. This game will likely be a tight one as Minnesota has been a different team inside their building than on the road.
Michigan basketball is coming off the peak of their season so far in a woodshed beating of the Wisconsin Badgers, and I think they have a bit of hangover and start slow because of that, but finish off the Gophers with a late run. The Wolverines continue their streak with a 71-67 victory.
Ryan Kraus: Michigan wins 77-66
The Wolverines have started to stack up impressive wins in conference play, currently sitting at the top of the Big Ten. Minnesota will take another stab at beating the Wolverines on Saturday. Marcus Carr and company will come out strong but won’t have enough to beat the Wolverines. Hunter Dickinson will prove too much to handle again, Michigan wins.
Chris Peterson: Michigan wins 79-72
This game worries me and really any game on the road in the Big Ten is a challenge. The Wolverines have been playing great though but this is their toughest road test up to this point, although winning at Maryland was a good win. I do think this will be closer but I think the Wolverines advantage inside and on the defensive end is too great for Minnesota to overcome.
