Jett Howard

Because he is the son of Juwan Howard and his recruitment has been boring to date, I don’t think it is being talked about enough just how good of a prospect Jett Howard is. He is a special talent with an extremely high ceiling.

Howard currently plays for IMG Academy down in Florida and is surrounded by some of the best players in the country. This has helped Juwan Howard build good relationships with elite talent in both the 2021 and 2022 classes.

If you’re one of those Michigan basketball fans that is skeptical about how good Jett is based on the fact that Jace Howard is a bench player for Michigan this year, my advice to you is to go watch some tape of Jett Howard. They are completely different players with different games and a much different ceiling.

Jett Howard is a legit 6-foot-7 shooting guard who already has a college ready body. He is a three level scorer but is known for having a deadly three point jump shot.

This season for IMG, he has continued to develop his game and has made significant strides in his playmaking and his defense. Howard has the chance to be a dynamic shooter and plus defender at the next level.

His recruitment has been strangely quiet so far. It has surprised most people that he hasn’t publicly pulled the trigger yet and committed to Michigan. Supposedly Florida and Vanderbilt are in the mix, but I don’t exactly buy that.

I think it’s only a matter of time before Jett commits to Michigan and starts helping his dad put together this 2022 Michigan basketball recruiting class.
