Michigan Basketball: Grading Wolverines against Minnesota

Hunter Dickinson: A+
If there was a grade higher than an A+, Dickinson would have gotten that tonight. I am truly running out of things to say about him. Minnesota’s center Liam Robbins was by far the best big man that Hunter has played against this season and he was not bothered at all.
Dickinson played a team high 32 minutes tonight and scored a career-high 28 points on12-of-15 shooting. He has yet to play a bad game this season and seemingly gets better every game.
He is not only one of the best freshman in the the Big Ten. He is not only one of the best freshman in the county. He is playing like one of the best players in all of college basketball.
Brandon Johns: A
I have been a critic of Brandon Johns so far this season. It seems to me like he has struggled to find his role on this team and has lacked confidence. None of that seemed to be an issue tonight.
Johns played with a high motor, grabbed rebounds, and was efficient from the floor tonight. He finished with seven points on 3-3 shooting and was able to snag four rebounds.
As Michigan continues to be without Austin Davis, Johns will need to keep up this good play so Michigan has some depth at the center spot.
I thought tonight was a huge step in the right direction for Brandon Johns.
