This Michigan football program has had a bit of a culture issue. We can argue all day about what exactly it is, but this just hasn’t felt like the Michigan of old and maybe Mike Hart can help with that.

He knows what it means to be a great Michigan football player and beyond that, he’s been an exceptional coach.

The former Wolverine great is at Indiana now and is assistant head coach, as well as coaching running backs.

Jay Harbaugh has recruited the position really well but the production hasn’t always been top-notch and with all the talented guys, including incoming freshman Donovan Edwards, this running back room could be elite.

But the Wolverines have got to meet their potential and in the backfield, Hart would help with that, while also restoring a big part of the identity that makes Michigan football so great over the years.
