Livers is a much more complete player

Isaiah Livers is very quietly putting together another fabulous season for the Wolverines. Hunter Dickinson may be making all the headlines, but Livers continues to be rock solid for this Michigan basketball team.

When Livers decided to come back for his senior season, he said the main reason was to continue to develop as a basketball player and because he felt like the ride wasn’t over and he had more games to win at Michigan.

As fans, we have come to expect a certain level of consistency from Livers. He’s been a big contributor for four years and has always been a steady player. I think that’s why the season he is currently having is being overlooked. He is a far more complete player this season.

Coming into his senior year, Livers had three areas where he needed to improve on. His defense, rebounding, and play making for others. We have seen drastic improvements from Livers in those three areas through the first seven games of this season.

Livers has doubled his assist numbers from last season and increased his rebounds per game by almost two. He’s doing this while playing more minutes, and shooting a higher percentage overall and from three compared to last season.

To summarize, Livers is averaging more minutes, more points, more rebounds, more assists, while shooting a higher percentage this season. It’s clear that Livers put in the work this past off season and has become a more complete player.
