Dickinson will score but he won’t be the leader

Hunter Dickinson comes in as Michigan basketball’s leading scorer at 15.7 points per game and as a team, the Wolverines have been very effective on that end, in part because of the impressive freshman.

Michigan is scoring 1.14 points per possession and is shooting 51 percent as a team, which is helped a lot by Dickinson’s 69 percent shooting percentage through six games.

I do think that Dickinson will have a really good game and he will probably make it another double-double. But I think scoring numbers will be down just a little bit in this game because Nebraska will try to force the ball out of his hands.

That should open the door for some others. I also think this is a game where Michigan will be able to turn defense into offense, with turnovers and defensive stops. That kind of game suits Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers and both should get plenty of opportunities.

Dickinson will get his of course and another 15 points or so wouldn’t be surprising, the freshman is just that good. I just think Livers of Wagner outscores him.
