Edwards/Worthy are different

The biggest news on early signing day for Michigan football was that the Wolverines were able to win the recruitments of both Donovan Edwards and Xavier Worthy.

You could feel that Michigan had the momentum with Edwards, but it was hard to believe he would choose the Wolverines until he actually did. Then, when Worthy stuck with the Wolverines over Alabama, it was a game-changing addition.

The lack of offensive skills guys going to the NFL has been an issue for the Wolverines dating back over a decade. Jim Harbaugh has had some good wide receivers, but none that were elite and Worthy has elite speed.

He’s a true home-run threat and the Wolverines won’t have to worry about being able to take the top off a defense. Edwards also has dynamic ability and both of these guys will play key roles on the offense right away.
