Will Edwards choose Michigan?

This is the biggest question facing the Wolverines right now heading into early signing day. Obviously, the recruitment of Xavier Worthy looms large and his decision is coming Wednesday, just like Edwards is.

But, Edwards is also an in-state kid and it’s really going to hurt the Wolverines in-state recruiting perception if Edwards goes elsewhere. Plus, he’s just dynamic in every sense of the word.

The Wolverines haven’t had a running back drafted in the first round of the NFL draft since Chris Perry back in 2004 and Edwards is the man who can change that.

Earlier this week, I said I felt really good about where things stand with Edwards and that’s still true. Also, here’s another nugget from Brandon Brown of Wolverine Digest:

"“Someone very close to the West Bloomfield side of things informed me that Edwards told the Michigan staff while in town for the Wisconsin game that he intended to commit to the Wolverines. When I asked someone very close to the Michigan side of things about that interaction, all I got back was the “shrug” emoji followed by laughing.”"

It sounds like recruits have buzz about some good things happening and with just one day to go before his decision, all of the crystal balls from 247 are with Michigan at a confidence level of six. Georgia is still out there and the top contender, but it feels like Donovan will stay home.
