Early signing day is now just one day away and here are three bold predictions for Michigan football and its recruiting efforts with the 2021 class.

There’s no doubt that when it comes to the 2021 recruiting class, it’s been a wild ride and not just for Michigan football, but recruits and programs across the country.

Never have recruits been forced to make these decisions without getting to take official visits, but that’s exactly what will happen Wednesday as recruits will sign with Michigan football who never even got to take an official visit to Ann Arbor.

Jaydon Hood is one recruit that isn’t expected to sign on Wednesday and that’s simply because he says he wants to visit first. Hopefully, that proves to be true and the Wolverines are able to sign him later on, because as deep as things once were at linebacker, they are getting a little shaky.

Hood told EJ Holland of Rivals ($): “They know I want to go to Michigan. I’m not playing games, I just haven’t seen it.”

So Hood is one commitment that won’t sign Wednesday. Another is Branden Jennings, who has been getting talked about as a flip a lot. Although, there were late rumblings from Sam Webb at the Michigan Insider ($) that Jennings could sign still with U-M and on Wednesday.

Losing Jennings, who is one of Michigan’s top-rated defenders would hurt, there is no question about it, but as long as U-M lands Hood or Jennings, it won’t be a complete loss. Remember, Junior Colson is 100 percent committed and he’s going to be a superstar.

As far as things we don’t know 100 percent, here are three predictions for Michigan football on early signing day and we start with Donovan Edwards.
