Livers and Wagner did little things

The Wolverines didn’t get the best effort from Livers or Wagner Sunday as the two players managed to score just 16 points on 3-of-12 shooting, including 0-of-5 from 3-point range.

Wagner continues to struggle to shoot the ball and he attempted just five shots. Teams are closing out on him hard, but it still seemed like he passed up a couple of looks. He got seven rebounds, dished out three assists and was solid defensively. He really impacts things with his length.

Both players missed 3-pointers they normally make, but Livers was perfect at the line and hit the two free throws that clinched the win at the end. They also contributed in a number of other ways, as did the entire team holding Penn State to 30 percent shooting.

Livers can be explained with an off shooting day, because he has been playing really well and has made a bunch of treys this year. But Wagner just isn’t playing with confidence on the offensive end and the Wolverines need to get him going very soon.

However, in this year’s Big Ten, Michigan will gladly take the win and look forward to Nebraska.
