The winner?

Penn State has played tougher competition this season than Michigan basketball and I think it will take the Wolverines a little time to adjust to a high-quality opponent.

But, I think that the Wolverines advantage inside with Dickinson will be a major factor in the game. It will be our first glimpse of him going up against Big Ten competition, but I believe he will be up for the challenge. He’s a 20-year old kid and he played at an elite level in high school.

The one thing I worry about with Dickinson is foul trouble. He’s avoided that most of this season but that’s been against mid-major competition. If he gets in trouble there and has to sit, the Wolverines will then turn to Brandon Johns and their size advantage will be negated.

However, guys like Eli Brooks, Livers, Franz Wagner and Johns, who I think will come off the bench and play some solid minutes, will do enough to win the game.

We’ll see how the new guys react to the Big Ten, but I think it will go well overall and in the end, Michigan will win a grind.
