Dickinson gets a double-double in his first start

With the foot injury to Austin Davis, Hunter Dickinson is the obvious choice to take his spot in the starting lineup Sunday and to be honest, he should have probably been starting anyway.

But even coming off the bench, Dickinson has been outstanding for the Wolverines, averaging just under 15 points and seven rebounds. He’s also been pretty solid on defense and his ability to create for others passing out of the post has been a nice addition to the offense.

John Harrar will be the guy guarding him at least to open the game and at 6-foot-9, Harrar isn’t the best post defender. He ranks lowest of anyone in Penn State’s starting lineup in defensive plus-minus and also defensive win share.

Since Michigan will have the size advantage, I’d expect the ball to go into Dickinson early and often. When he’s been in the game, U-M has run the offense through him quite often.

I think that will lead to a few assists in his first start. I also think he will be a double-double, something like 13 points and 10 rebounds.
