Michigan basketball will host Oakland University on Sunday in the second game of the season and here’s how to watch, listen and stream.

While the Michigan basketball season just started, believe it or not, Big Ten play will be starting in just a few weeks and the Wolverines have just four non-conference games left.

One of those games will be Sunday at the Crisler Center as Michigan basketball will take on Oakland University, an in-state school that plays in the Horizon League.

Yet, unlike the opening game against Bowling Green, which is favored to win the MAC this season, Oakland isn’t a high-quality opponent and ranks No. 311 out of 357 teams in the Kenpom rankings. Michigan basketball is currently ranked 16th.

The Wolverines have played just once this season, defeating Bowling Green in impressive fashion, but the Golden Grizzlies have already played three times and will come to Ann Arbor sporting an 0-3 record following losses Xavier, Toledo and Bradley and only one loss was in single digits.

Xavier made mince meat out of the Grizzlies and walloped them 101-49 this week, so Michigan basketball should be able to take care of business, even if the game feels like a scrimmage, which is what Isaiah Livers told MLive the opener felt like.

However, the Wolverines played like the bullets were flying for real, especially on the offensive end where they tallied 96 points and averaged 1.32 points per possession. Against Oakland, a team that isn’t nearly as talented as Bowling Green, hitting 100 should be within reach.

The game should also give head coach Juwan Howard a chance to play some of his younger players such as Terrance Williams, Zeb Jackson and his son Jace, who didn’t play in the opener.

I’m wondering when Juwan will make the move to Hunter Dickinson at center and ponder that here, but I don’t think it will come Sunday as I expect to see the same starters and mostly the same rotation, with some added minutes for bench guys if things go as planned.

It will be an evening tip-off Sunday and here’s all the key info for Michigan basketball and Oakland:
