Receivers / Tight Ends – B

The pass catchers get a solid B for this game. They again didn’t do anything spectacular but they made plays when they needed to. We finally got to see some of the talent that Erick All has. He brought in just four catches but had some big plays when the Wolverines needed it.

Nick Eubanks added five catches, including a touchdown, and had some strong finishes after the catch. The tight ends have been mostly disappointing for Michigan football this year so it was nice to see Eubanks and All make some big catches.

The receivers still seem to struggle to get open, but they seemed a lot more confident with McNamara on the field. Cornelius Johnson had two touchdowns including the first of the game that finally got the offense going.

Giles Jackson had four catches for 50 yards, but his biggest play of the game was his 95-yard kickoff return to star the second half.

Ronnie Bell again was solid and seems to be the most reliable of the receivers. All together the receivers had a decent day and made the plays when they had to. They just haven’t stuck out as a great unit yet. Will that change with McNamara getting the bulk of the time now, who knows, but it will be fun to watch.
